The role of Barista I at City of Hope offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this transformative environment, serving as a friendly and skilled ambassador in one of its bustling café locations. The Barista I is responsible for preparing hand-crafted quality beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tea, and specialty drinks like chai and fruit blends to meet customer specifications. This position requires not only technical beverage preparation skills but also excellent customer service abilities to greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and maintain positive customer relations while ensuring quick service. Along with beverage preparation, the Barista I must manage cash register functions, handle electronic payments, and comply with all cash-handling procedures.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar or cart area is a critical part of the role, as is adhering to food safety, allergy, and sanitation standards through regular training participation. The Barista will often be tasked with cleaning coffee machines and restaurant areas and may be involved in managing inventory and stocking supplies. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience and the ability to obtain Starbucks Barista Certification within 30 days of employment. Job Duties

  • Greet customers and take orders
