The Barista I position at UC Health Highlands Ranch Hospital, managed by Sodexo, offers a unique opportunity for those passionate about customer service and handcrafted beverages. This part-time role is ideal for individuals seeking morning shifts during weekdays, earning between $19.50 and $21.84 per hour. Working as a Barista I, you will take part in delivering an exceptional customer experience by preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blends. Beyond beverage preparation, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages smiles and positive interactions, reinforcing Sodexo's mission to make a meaningful impact every day.

Your responsibilities will include greeting customers warmly, taking accurate orders, managing cash and electronic payments through the cash register, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the work environment, including coffee machines, preparation areas, and restrooms. Punctuality and reliability are key, as is a willingness to adapt and perform additional duties as business needs evolve. Although no previous work experience is required, experience or certifications such as Starbucks Barista certification may be advantageous at certain locations.

Job Duties

  • Greet customers and take orders

  • record all sales and operate cash register including collecting cash, credit card, and electronic payments
  • clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms, and preparation areas
  • attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
