Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in customer service or food and beverage industry advantageous
  • ability to operate point of sale systems
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • willingness to learn about coffee preparation and product knowledge

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders
  • make and present drinks using standard ingredients and recipes
  • practice prudent portion control
  • input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
  • maintain accountability for all beverages served
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed to balance all transactions
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the coffee bar on a daily basis including requisitioning, stocking, and rotating all products needed
  • respond to guest complaints in a positive and tactful manner
  • negotiate a compromise and implement solutions
  • lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment items
  • deposit cash drops
  • secure and balance bank and sign out/in keys
