The role of Barista at Leaps and Bounds Café is a full-time, onsite position that requires dedication and a passion for creating meaningful guest interactions. Scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., the position includes shifts on weekdays and weekends, with weekend shifts ending by 12:30 p.m. CST. Essential to this role is coverage during weekends, holidays, and Packer game days during the fall season, highlighting the spirited, community-focused atmosphere of the workplace.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for welcoming guests with genuine warmth and delivering prompt, courteous service that consistently exceeds expectations. Your duties will include preparing café menu items with accuracy, supporting breakfast room service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized café environment. This role is not only about serving coffee but about creating memorable moments for guests through excellent customer service and attention to detail.

The Barista position requires adherence to café policies and safety standards, including proper handling of guest concerns and maintaining compliance with age restrictions and incident response protocols. You may also assist with answering phones, taking messages, and ensuring all food items meet the high standards for freshness and quality. The hourly wage for this position ranges from $14.00 to $17.00, including tips and gratuity. The final rate is influenced by factors such as the candidate’s experience, education, and local work location. This opportunity is perfect for individuals over 18 who enjoy lifting and carrying items up to 15 pounds and are willing to obtain a bartending license if required, with company support. Preferred candidates will have experience in food safety, sanitation, previous barista work, cash handling, or cashier roles and ideally hold a high school diploma or GED.
