Established as a leader in healthcare, St. Luke's employs highly skilled and compassionate professionals who share a unified mission of maintaining the highest standards of care for the sick and injured. The organization thrives on its collaborative culture, ensuring that employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their expertise effectively to the community they serve. The network is also well-regarded for its commitment to continuous performance improvement in safety, customer service, clinical care, and operational systems. This dedication has cemented St. Luke's reputation as a trusted healthcare provider and educator within its service regions.
The role of Barista at St. Luke's is an integral part of the food service department and offers a wonderful opportunity to join a team that supports both patients and staff through excellent beverage preparation and customer service. This position involves crafting a variety of hot and cold specialty drinks in alignment with established recipes and quality standards. Beyond beverage preparation, the Barista plays a significant role in maintaining food quality, menu presentation, sanitation, and efficient operation of the point-of-sale system. Duties include merchandising menu items with attention to dietary restrictions, stocking supplies, sanitizing workspaces, and following all safety and confidentiality protocols. Working every other weekend and holiday is a requirement for this role, reflecting the healthcare environment's need for consistent service availability. Physical demands of the position include prolonged periods of walking, standing, and occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 50 pounds, necessitating a certain level of physical stamina and dexterity. Although prior customer service or food service experience is preferred, St. Luke's provides on-the-job training, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to develop skills in a supportive and meaningful work environment. The Barista role not only contributes to the daily experience of patients and hospital staff but also embodies the organization's commitment to service excellence and operational quality. This full-time or part-time position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Working at St. Luke's offers the chance to be part of a respected healthcare community that values diversity, professional growth, and employee well-being. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit thorough applications including their employment history, educational background, and any relevant certifications to fully demonstrate their fit for this rewarding role.
