Located at 1801 Augustine Cut Off in Wilmington, Delaware, the Incyte site is currently seeking a dedicated Barista to join their team on a full-time basis.\n\nThe Barista position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic foodservice environment, serving high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other related food and beverage items to customers. This role plays an integral part in creating memorable experiences through friendly interaction, efficient service, and meticulous attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 1:30 pm, providing a balanced work-life routine with no night or weekend shifts, a highly appealing perk for many candidates. The pay range for this role is competitive, between $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting the level of skill and commitment expected from the successful candidate.\n\nAs a Barista at Compass Group, you will be responsible for crafting espresso orders in accordance with established recipes and portion controls, ensuring all items meet HACCP food safety standards for quality foodservice operations. Beyond beverage preparation, the role requires maintaining cleanliness and organization of the service area, replenishing supplies, handling transactions accurately using a POS system, and engaging warmly with customers to enhance their satisfaction. Job Requirements
- Prior barista experience is required
- ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- availability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 1:30 pm
- willingness to follow company safety and sanitation policies including proper glove use and slip-resistant footwear
- legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- serves customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
- serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
- serves food neatly and attractively per standard
- performs other duties as assigned
