The position available is for a full-time Barista based at Memorial Hermann Woodlands located at 9520 Pinecroft Drive, Shenandoah, TX 77380. This role requires making and serving coffee and espresso drinks, as well as related food and beverage items, while maintaining high food safety and quality standards. The barista will be responsible for interacting with customers and other employees in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive customer experience. Pay for this role ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The schedule includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with detailed hours provided during the interview process.
In this role, the barista will prepare espresso orders using standard measures and recipes, handle payments through POS devices, replenish supplies, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area. Following HACCP guidelines to ensure proper food safety, the barista will control portion sizes and serving temperatures, clean equipment and workstations, and assist in maintaining an inviting presentation of food and beverages. Customer service skills are paramount as the barista will greet customers courteously, address relevant concerns to supervisors, and employ effective communication to help customers with their selection and ensure satisfaction.
