Job Requirements
- at least 2 years of previous barista experience preferred
- ability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday
- willingness to comply with food safety and HACCP guidelines
- ability to operate POS equipment and handle cash transactions
- strong interpersonal skills and customer orientation
- availability to work in Santa Monica, CA location
- ability to stand for extended periods
- legal right to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of barista experience
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to handle POS transactions accurately
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work full time Monday through Friday with flexible hours
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
Job Duties
- prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
- serves customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them to customers
- advocates selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly
- performs other duties as assigned
