Job Requirements
- Previous barista experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Must be able to handle physical tasks related to coffee and food preparation
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Commitment to food safety and cleanliness guidelines
- Must be able to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous barista experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work early mornings on a full-time schedule
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to operate POS systems
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- Enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- Serves customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
- Serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
- Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standards
- Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- Performs other duties as assigned
