Baristas at Kuppa Joy are expected to master the art of preparing, crafting, and serving coffee and specialty beverages to the highest standards. They must maintain accuracy and consistency in drink preparation while showing a willingness to expand their knowledge about coffee and brewing methods. Operating the POS/register system accurately and responsibly is also an important duty to ensure smooth transactions. The role requires teamwork and cooperation, especially during busy periods, supporting colleagues to maintain café operations effectively. Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the workstation and the café environment is a key part of delivering a great customer experience and ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.

Physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and the ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to meet the dynamic needs of the café, with a minimum availability of 25 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and Saturdays. Kuppa Joy offers a competitive wage range of $16.90 to $21.00 per hour plus tips. The café is closed on Sundays to allow rest and rejuvenation for staff.
