Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment
  • One year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage
  • Equivalent education or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license or certification
  • Ability to work night or variable shifts as scheduled
  • Ability to operate espresso and food service equipment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience preparing and serving food and beverages
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment
  • Ability to operate espresso machines and food service equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent, respectful customer service to a diverse customer base in a medical setting
  • Train new or unskilled employees in preparation and service of espresso beverages and food items, cleaning and stocking duties, and departmental procedures
  • Operate all espresso and food service equipment and machinery
  • Prepare and serve food items
  • Stock supplies necessary for preparation and service of beverages and food items
  • Display food and espresso items attractively
  • Operate cash register and handle cash, check and charge payments according to departmental policies and procedures
