Job Description

Harbor Bay Hospitality is a respected hospitality company proudly rooted in Cleveland, known for its dedication to excellence and community engagement. Alongside JJJ Hospitality, originally hailing from Minneapolis and now a cherished part of the Cleveland community, Harbor Bay Hospitality embraces core values such as Par Excellence, Esprit de Corps, and Of Service, which guide every aspect of their operations. The partnership between these two entities brings together a wealth of experience and passion for delivering outstanding service in a dynamic and growing market.

One of their signature establishments is Edda, a vibrant all-day cafe located within INTRO, an exciting mixed-use development in Cleveland. INTRO features nearly 300 new apartments, a lush green space, and a lavish top-floor event venue, all situated conveniently across from the historic West Side Market. Edda stands out as a bright, airy space powered by a female-led roastery, reflecting the company’s commitment to quality and inclusivity. The cafe boasts a menu that includes hot breakfast options, fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, and an enticing array of seasonal and custom coffee beverages complemented by house-made pastries.

Harbor Bay Hospitality is currently seeking a passionate, skilled Barista to join the team at Edda. This role is perfect for a coffee enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences. The Barista position involves preparing specialty coffee using various brewing techniques, engaging customers with thoughtful menu recommendations, and contributing to a warm, inviting atmosphere. Beyond brewing skills, the role demands excellent sales aptitude, the ability to upsell products appropriately, and a knack for building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with customers.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, take initiative to enhance the cafe’s reputation, and demonstrate strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities include handling cash and credit transactions, managing inventory and supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. While prior barista experience is not mandatory, a sincere passion for specialty coffee and a willingness to learn are essential. This part-time job offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, plus tips, attracting individuals motivated by both customer service excellence and community engagement.

Working at Edda means being part of a dynamic, supportive team within a unique and evolving Cleveland neighborhood. The part-time Barista role offers flexible working hours including day shifts and weekend availability, making it suitable for those seeking work-life balance while engaging with the vibrant local coffee culture. With benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and employee discounts, Harbor Bay Hospitality demonstrates its commitment to the welfare and development of its team members.

Joining Harbor Bay Hospitality and Edda offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a community-focused company known for its high standards and care for service. If you have a passion for specialty coffee, are an enthusiastic team player, and want to be part of a forward-thinking hospitality group dedicated to enriching the Cleveland community, this Barista position provides a rewarding platform to advance your skills and make a meaningful impact.
