Job Requirements
- high school education required
- must have flexibility and be available to work shifts between 6:45am and 9:00pm, 7 days a week
- must have reliable transportation and ability to be punctual starting at 6:45am on some mornings
- federal work study award for the upcoming academic year
- available only to enrolled American University students
Job Qualifications

- ability to steam milk for lattes/cappuccinos
- know how to manually dial in an espresso grinder
- understand how to clean an espresso machine
- barista experience

Job Duties
- adhere to health code standards at all times
- provide impeccable and efficient customer service
- be enthusiastic and able to present creative ideas and provide input on shop matters
- take part in tasks involved with preparing espresso, catering, and coffee, and maintenance of the space
- maintain attention to detail when accomplishing all shop tasks including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and restocking duties
- learn the complexities and master the skills involved with producing quality coffee
- be mindful of product waste and work towards operating an efficient and sustainable coffee shop
