Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- ability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
- excellent communication skills
- availability to work varied shifts including weekends
- ability to operate coffee machines and other restaurant equipment safely
- capability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- commitment to safety and sanitation procedures
- willingness to comply with all restaurant policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or barista role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate POS and payment processing systems
- customer service orientation with ability to handle guest concerns tactfully
- multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- teamwork and collaboration skills
- basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Accurately take and confirm guest food and beverage orders including special instructions or restrictions
- prepare and serve coffee, espresso, other beverages including component ingredients and serve to guests
- process payments and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures, including reconciling and maintaining the security of the cash drawer
- accurately, promptly, efficiently and safely assemble and transport food and beverage orders to indoor and outdoor guests including guests in vehicles in locations offering drive-thru service
- sell and accurately account for gift cards
- available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats
- safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives, coffee makers, grinders and a cappuccino/espresso machine
- ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
