The Barista position at Thomas Cuisine’s Corporate Café in Draper, UT, offers a full-time opportunity with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $16.50 to $17.50. Scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., this role is perfect for individuals seeking a stable daytime position. The Barista will be responsible for delivering friendly and efficient service by preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and light food items in a fast-paced corporate setting. Key responsibilities include operating a cash register with high accuracy, preparing coffee drinks such as espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino according to precise recipes, maintaining inventory supplies, and ensuring timely food preparation and service.

Physical stamina is essential due to the requirement to stand for extended periods and handle lifting tasks. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six months previous experience in a customer service role
  • ServSafe certification and state food handlers card
  • ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays
  • ability to communicate in English clearly, both spoken and written
  • able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • willing to adhere to workplace standards for dress, behavior, and hygiene
  • able to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
  • able to work Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • able to handle fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Operate a cash register with an accuracy of 99.85 percent
  • set up appropriate cashier bank
  • document cash received and charges made
  • identify customer needs and refer them to the appropriate department for follow-up when necessary
  • educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
  • prepare and sell coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino
  • maintain inventories by replenishing coffee supply and stocking coffee brewing equipment
  • stock refrigerators with beverages and condiments
  • clean, sanitize, polish general work areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and throwing trash
  • prepare and gather items needed for meal service
  • provide exceptional service to all guests
  • understand workplace standards for dress, behavior, and hygiene
  • perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals
  • communicate clearly in English both spoken and written
  • deliver friendly, efficient customer service
  • follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
  • follow time schedules for food prep and service
  • perform other duties as assigned
