As a Barista at City Brew Coffee, the role goes far beyond simply making coffee. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks
  • Endurance to work full shifts and lift/carry supplies and equipment as needed
  • Prior customer service or food/beverage experience is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a positive, customer-first attitude
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and food items promptly and with a sense of urgency
  • Educate customers about our menu, answer questions, and help them find their perfect drink
  • Demonstrate SERVE (Smile, Engage, Respect, Visible, Eager) principles consistently
  • Keep the café clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
  • Handle cash transactions and follow company cash-handling procedures
  • Support our team by communicating openly and stepping in where needed
  • Keep a neat and tidy appearance by wearing the approved dress code and maintain good personal hygiene
  • Stay calm and confident during high-volume hours while maintaining excellent service
  • Deliver on The Three Things every shift: great customer service, a clean/organized store, and great drinks & products
