We are currently hiring for the position of Barista / Cashier, available for both part-time and full-time schedules. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our cafe and ensuring that each customer experiences attentive, efficient, and friendly service every visit. The job offers an hourly wage range of $12 to $15 plus shared tips, and it requires weekend availability, specifically Saturdays most weeks, with other shifts flexible from Sunday through Friday. As a Barista / Cashier at The Farmacy, you will be responsible for preparing coffee drinks, smoothies, and specialty beverages according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met. Additionally, you will operate the espresso machine, steam milk, and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area. On the cashier side, your duties include greeting customers warmly, taking accurate orders, operating the POS system to handle cash and credit transactions responsibly, and packaging meal prep and to-go orders correctly. You will also act as an ambassador for the brand by answering customer questions about menu items and ingredients and maintaining a welcoming and clean front counter.

Beyond these specific duties, you will be expected to follow opening and closing procedures, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, monitor inventory levels, assist with light prep and restocking tasks, and work collaboratively with team members to ensure service remains smooth and efficient. The role demands a friendly and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and the physical endurance to stand for extended periods and lift items exceeding 30 pounds.
