Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 16 years to be considered for temporary employment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent movement, lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including opening, midday, or closing
  • Compliance with food handling or safety certification as required
  • Availability to work weekly for up to 90 days for temporary positions
  • Willingness to follow COVID-19 safety protocols including vaccination and use of face masks when required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 16 years for temporary employment
  • Previous food handling experience preferred
  • Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
  • Outstanding attitude with willingness to learn and capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills
  • Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods

Job Duties

  • Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments
  • Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit
  • Take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions
  • Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store
  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food and drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques
  • Set up or restock displays, wrap, label, date, and rotate food items for sale
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following cleaning, sanitation, and operational standards
  • Perform routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal
  • Adhere to physical demands such as frequent movement, lifting, and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
