Job Requirements

U.S. work authorization required
availability to work Saturday or Sunday shift
ability to work 20-30 hours per week
willingness to learn coffee and food menus thoroughly
commitment to maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
ability to follow operating instructions and sanitation standards
basic math competence
effective communication skills
ability to arrive promptly and in full uniform for scheduled shifts

Job Qualifications

At least one year of barista experience preferred
strong customer service and verbal communication skills
basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and making change
legible handwriting
ability to work effectively in a team environment
willingness to participate in training and development opportunities
capable of maintaining a clean and organized work area

Job Duties

Serve customers and provide great customer service by informing them about food and beverage selections
create and present order choices professionally
maintain a welcoming, friendly atmosphere in the coffee house
learn and have complete knowledge of the coffee menu and food choices
educate customers by explaining menu items and answering questions
keep work and customer areas clean and free of clutter
prepare coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques
maintain inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply and stocking equipment
keep equipment operational and clean
ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge
arrive promptly and in full uniform for shifts
leave a positive impression on customers to encourage repeat visits
thank customers for visiting and invite them to return
