Job Description

Thrive Restaurant Group is a reputable family-owned restaurant company that has proudly served its communities for over 50 years. Founded on the principles of dedication to quality, exceptional hospitality, and community involvement, Thrive Restaurant Group has grown into a well-respected leader in the restaurant industry. With a strong commitment to making a positive impact on both the people they serve and the communities where they operate, the group has fostered a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere across all its establishments. The culture at Thrive is deeply rooted in family values, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality, making it an ideal place for individuals seeking to grow professionally within a supportive environment. The company embraces a philosophy of nurturing kindness and community, which resonates in every aspect of their service and operations.

One of Thrive's standout ventures is HomeGrown, a restaurant concept launched in 2017 that embodies the belief in starting each day with kindness. HomeGrown partners with local producers to bring fresh, quality ingredients to every table, emphasizing community connection and sustainability. The restaurant offers a unique blend of expert coffee and craft cocktails, creating a dynamic atmosphere suitable for morning coffee runs or lively brunch gatherings. This emphasis on community and quality defines the experience at HomeGrown and aligns perfectly with Thrive Restaurant Group’s core values.

The current opportunity is for a Barista Bartender, a unique dual-role position that blends the art of coffee making with the craft of bartending. This position is perfect for someone enthusiastic about delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced and high-energy setting. The role requires a professional who is skilled in preparing a variety of high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and specialty drinks, as well as mixing and serving carefully crafted alcoholic cocktails. Attention to detail and a friendly, reliable demeanor are critical to success in this role.

In this position, the Barista Bartender will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy their experience, whether they are stopping by for a morning latte or brunch with friends. The individual will operate and maintain necessary equipment such as espresso machines and juicers, ensuring cleanliness and operational excellence at all times. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing inventory, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware, ensuring the bar is always stocked and ready to serve.

The role also involves cash handling and point-of-sale system operations, requiring accuracy and integrity in processing orders and payments. Compliance with all local and state alcohol service laws is mandatory, including verifying IDs and responsibly managing service to prevent overconsumption. Beyond the technical skills, this role emphasizes teamwork, collaboration with the kitchen and service staff, and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and a safe work environment.

Candidates for this position should be eager to learn and grow within the hospitality industry, as Thrive values individuals who are motivated by a fun, family-oriented workplace that fosters development in business, leadership, and hospitality skills. Compensation is based on tip credit minimum wage plus tips, with actual take-home pay varying depending on availability. Thrive Restaurant Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions successfully.
