The Barista position at Methodical is an integral role focused on crafting outstanding cafe offerings and catering attentively to each customer's needs. Baristas at Methodical are expected to develop comprehensive knowledge of the company's entire menu, including coffee, teas, food, and other products. This knowledge extends to the complexities of coffee regions, processing methods, and brewing techniques, allowing baristas to share insights with customers and elevate their experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Develop a deep understanding and breadth of knowledge of all our offerings including coffee, food, and other items
  • Develop an understanding of coffee regions, processes, and brew types
  • Execute all beverage offerings to our standard of quality
  • Follow all recipes and procedures
  • Dial in coffee on brew bar and espresso
  • Greet, welcome, and provide exceptional service to every customer
  • Educate customers on our offerings and coffee in general
  • Care proactively for customer needs
  • Keep stations clean and organized
  • Keep seating areas clean and organized
  • Assist with prep, dishwashing, and stocking shelves
  • Develop the skills necessary to perform the tasks of their position
