Job Description

ANTHEM™ is a TAA-licensed umbrella organization comprising several real estate and creative companies based in Waco, Texas. The organization's headquarters and studios are centrally located in the heart of downtown Waco, where they are dedicated to the restoration and rejuvenation of the city. Their mission operates on a micro level, focusing on the revitalization of individual bricks, buildings, tenants, and visitors alike, aiming to make a meaningful local impact one step at a time. ANTHEM's approach is a blend of design and development, guided by the pillars of their broader corporate strategy known as development by design.

The leadership team, headed by directors Peter and Summer Ellis, both Baylor University alumni, brings approximately 40 years of combined professional experience in design and business development. Since 1999, they have contributed significantly to the growth of various businesses under the ANTHEM umbrella. This commitment to local development underpins their continued growth and ambitious plans for the future.

One of the exciting ventures under ANTHEM is BRÛ Artisan Coffee Works, a coffee shop and bakery that embraces the vibrant culture of downtown Waco. BRÛ Artisan Coffee Works is more than just a coffee shop; it represents a commitment to quality, handcrafting, and providing patrons with exceptional coffee experiences. The establishment is seeking capable and responsible team members who are passionate about their craft and excited to contribute to a family and value-centered workplace.

This role involves delivering the best coffee with enthusiasm, ensuring every guest enjoys not only premium coffee but a memorable overall experience. The ideal candidate is organized, mature, and able to meet daily demands efficiently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and aesthetics of the coffee bar, assisting team members, managers, and owners, and contributing innovative problem-solving ideas to improve business operations. The role requires excellent teamwork skills, flexibility to adapt to evolving work demands, and a commitment to professional presence and customer service.

Employees at BRÛ Artisan Coffee Works will start with a competitive hourly wage ranging between $9.00 and $11.00, contingent on previous experience. After a 90-day probationary and training period, employees become eligible for merit-based bonuses and promotions, emphasizing the company’s dedication to long-term employee development and growth within the organization.

This position is suitable for both full-time and part-time applicants who seek rewarding work in a dynamic environment. Employees may be called upon to assist with special events such as First Friday and local farmers markets, contributing to community engagement and marketing efforts. This role encourages learning and skill enhancement, including coffee art, to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Above all, the workplace culture at BRÛ Artisan Coffee Works values having fun and making each workday enjoyable while positively impacting the customers' day.

Joining BRÛ Artisan Coffee Works means being part of a dedicated team that thrives on delivering quality goods and exceptional service to the Waco community while supporting the overarching mission of ANTHEM to restore and rejuvenate their city.
