This position involves a blend of customer engagement, expert product knowledge, retail sales, and critical operational tasks including inventory management and equipment maintenance. The Barista and Retail Associate is responsible for greeting guests warmly, anticipating their needs, and maintaining an inviting store atmosphere through diligent organization and cleanliness. They also ensure that all coffee offerings meet high-quality sensory standards by conducting regular evaluations and adjustments, fostering their coffee expertise through ongoing education and proficiency assessments.

In addition to customer-focused duties, associates handle various transactional and stocking duties such as managing cash and card payments with the POS system, assisting in inventory control, and minimizING waste. An important element of this role also includes preparing custom corporate and customer gift baskets and performing routine maintenance of coffee machines and related equipment. Compensation for this role starts at $12 per hour with additional pooled tips ranging between $5 and $8 per hour, reflective of the commitment and quality delivered by the staff. Working hours require availability from Monday through Saturday, allowing for concentrated team collaboration and consistent customer support.
