Job Description
Coastal Roots Farm (CRF) is a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center located in Encinitas, California. Founded with a mission to cultivate healthy, connected communities, CRF integrates sustainable agriculture, food justice, and ancient Jewish wisdom to enrich the lives of those it serves. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED

- ability to walk up to half a mile on uneven terrain
- ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
- availability to work part-time Sunday through Friday, 7am to 4:30pm

Job Duties
- Set up and close down of equipment including coffee machinery, trash, retail products, furniture, and other necessary items used during the day
- preparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks
- facilitating the proper organization and cleanliness of store and cart spaces
- answering customer questions about the farm and directing to other farm programs
- inspecting inventory to ensure proper food safety and retail product storage
- cleaning and returning equipment to proper storage space
- cleaning, maintaining, and pest control of surrounding spaces
- provide high levels of customer service
- conduct inventory or store product
- provide daily reports to events and retail manager
- utilize Square for point of sale, data entry, and other relevant financial exchanges for taking payment at events
- evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
- upholding and enforcing any safety precautions necessitated by working in an outdoor environment
- other duties as assigned
