The Kitchen in the Woodlands is a well-established restaurant known for delivering exceptional dining experiences by focusing on quality food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Currently, The Kitchen in the Woodlands is seeking dedicated and energetic individuals to join their front of the house (FOH) team as Baristas and Expos. These positions are crucial in ensuring smooth operations and excellent guest service during every shift. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the FOH Guest Service Partner plays multiple roles including cashier, barista, greeter, expo, and busser as needed. This dynamic role requires a partner who is flexible, attentive, and passionate about creating a positive dining experience for all guests.
As a FOH Guest Service Partner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas, accurately taking and entering guest orders using the point of sale system, and constantly putting guest satisfaction first. You will check all food before it is delivered to the guest to ensure it meets the company’s high standards of quality and freshness. Additional tasks include completing any assigned side work, pre-bussing tables when possible, maintaining positive guest relations at all times, and managing security and shrink control measures effectively.
This position demands strong interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a sense of urgency and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be able to handle stressful situations with grace, think quickly on their feet, and motivate their fellow partners to work together harmoniously. Candidates with prior experience as a Barista or in an Expo role will be highly prioritized, as these skills directly contribute to the efficiency and quality of the front of the house operations.
The Kitchen in the Woodlands values effective communication skills, both written and oral, along with proficiency in computer operations necessary for managing orders and inventory. Physical stamina is required as the role involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Certification in alcohol service is also necessary for those handling beverage orders that include alcohol.
