With a commitment to cultivating an inclusive culture and investing in the growth and development of its team members, Corewell Health fosters an environment of collaboration, leadership, and innovation. This position is for a part-time, rotating shift Barista at the Starbucks location within Dearborn Hospital, offering at least 20 weekly scheduled hours including work Monday to Friday, with every other weekend required. The role involves producing a wide variety of intricate beverage recipes from complex ingredient combinations according to standardized recipes, working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. The Barista will operate and clean specialized kitchen equipment, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety and sanitation standards rigorously. Attention to detail is critical in identifying any ingredients or finished products that do not meet established quality standards and correcting them promptly.

Key responsibilities include multitasking between beverage preparation, cash handling, stocking, and sanitation duties. The Barista will also play a significant role in preparing for regulatory health inspections semi-annually and ensuring an excellent customer experience through personalized service and product knowledge. Effective communication skills and the ability to respond appropriately if products do not meet customer expectations are essential. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, reflecting the organization's commitment to offering competitive compensation alongside comprehensive benefits. This opportunity not only serves as an entry point into the health system environment but also as a chance to contribute to a mission focused on improving health, instilling humanity, and inspiring hope.
