As a dynamic leader in the hotel industry, HHM Hotels offers an engaging work environment with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
The Barista role at HHM Hotels is an essential position that contributes significantly to the hospitality experience by providing quality barista services. The position involves more than just coffee preparation; it requires attentiveness to guest needs, precise order management using POS systems, and adherence to sustainability and safety standards. Baristas are responsible for taking coffee, beverage, and food orders, processing payments efficiently, and preparing orders with care and consistency to maintain high-quality service standards.
Key responsibilities extend beyond food and beverage service to include maintaining cleanliness and organization within the coffee cart and surrounding areas, managing opening and closing duties such as setting up supplies and cleaning equipment, and ensuring all appliances are operated correctly. Baristas also play a critical role in financial transactions by handling cash, completing cashier reports, and securing banking processes.
Furthermore, this role requires strict compliance with state, federal, and corporate regulations related to food and alcoholic beverage handling, underscoring a commitment to legal and ethical service delivery. Safety is paramount, with expectations to follow company safety policies, report hazards, complete required training, and consistently practice safe work habits. Sustainability is another cornerstone of the job, where adherence to the EarthView program promotes environmentally responsible practices that benefit the community and the planet.
Ideal candidates for the Barista position have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and possess customer service experience, with prior barista experience considered a strong plus. HHM Hotels values employees who are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about their craft and guest service.
In return, HHM Hotels offers competitive wages for both full-time and part-time roles along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employees enjoy paid time off, a 401k company match, daily pay options, and excellent life and wellness benefits. Additional perks include travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance programs, and continuous educational and professional development opportunities. The company also encourages employee engagement through referral bonus programs and supports a flexible and inclusive work environment that fosters growth.
This role involves physical activities such as standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other movements required to maintain operational efficiency. Work schedules may vary and include holidays and weekends, reflecting the hospitality industry’s dynamic nature.
With a belief system that centers on people as the core capability, hearts that serve with passion, a commitment to excellence, nimbleness in adapting to change, and ownership of individual responsibilities, HHM Hotels provides an inspiring and rewarding career path for its employees. Baristas who join HHM Hotels can expect to grow professionally along a clear advancement pathway progressing to Head Barista, Host or Hostess, and Guest Service Agent positions, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking a fulfilling career in hospitality.
