The current opening is for a role focused on the preparation and service of hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, smoothies, and teas, as well as food and retail merchandise service. The position requires delivering a guest experience that consistently exceeds expectations by providing attentive and friendly service. Team members in this role are responsible for various opening and closing duties, working collaboratively with colleagues, accurately taking and preparing orders, and ensuring all served items meet the highest quality standards in appearance, temperature, and portion size. This role demands excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, as well as flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Experience with espresso and cappuccino machines and holding or being able to obtain a TABC permit enhances candidacy. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for processing payments
- Willingness to comply with health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Must have great customer service and communication skills
- Receive and process customer payments in POS system
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of using espresso and cappuccino machines a plus
- TABC permit or ability to obtain a TABC permit upon hire
Job Duties
- Perform all opening and closing assignments as assigned by management
- Apply teamwork skills at all times and assist co-workers when time permits
- Accurately and quickly take and make all ice cream, coffee, and food orders according to prescribed procedures
- Answer all questions about menu items, specials and prices
- Prepare and deliver coffee, beverage and food orders
- Check food to ensure appearance, temperature and portions are correct before giving to guest
