The Barista position at Sodexo located at Creighton University offers both full-time and part-time employment options with a pay rate of $17 per hour. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service through the preparation and serving of high-quality, handcrafted beverages. As a Barista at Sodexo, you will be responsible for a range of duties from greeting all guests warmly, mixing and serving beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, teas, and fruit blend drinks tailored to customer preferences, to maintaining a clean and inviting service area. Beyond beverage preparation, you will educate customers on menu offerings, actively engage in suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience, and manage inventory for coffee bar supplies to keep displays attractive and well-stocked.

This role also involves operating cash registers, handling cash transactions responsibly, and adhering to sanitation and food safety standards. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods, sometimes over eight hours during a shift, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The Barista must demonstrate reliability by attending scheduled shifts punctually and maintaining consistent performance.
