As a Barista at Sodexo, you will be an essential part of delivering exceptional service and crafting quality beverages that meet customer expectations. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blends. You will work in a vibrant, fast-paced environment where greeting guests with a warm, personalized approach is critical to building strong customer relations. Along with beverage preparation, you will educate guests on menu offerings, suggest complementary items, and maintain an organized and attractive coffee bar or cart.

This role demands a balance of physical stamina and customer service skills. You will be on your feet for long periods, engaging actively with customers while ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards in all preparation and service areas. The job includes handling cash transactions with accuracy and responsibility, as well as maintaining inventory and supplies to deliver swift service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • customer service related work experience
  • must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems
  • ability to walk or stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • punctuality and ability to attend scheduled shifts on time
  • Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified

Job Duties

  • Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service
  • mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, considering customer specifications
  • works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
  • educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling
  • arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays
  • cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas
  • records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures as required
  • attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • performs other duties as assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
