The Barista position at Sodexo, located at Rush-Copley Medical Center, offers a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive pay range of $16 to $16.50 per hour. As a Barista, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, and fruit blend drinks, all tailored to customer preferences. Your role involves maintaining an attractive and well-stocked coffee bar or cart, ensuring that supplies and cups/mugs are readily available and displayed appealingly to enhance customer engagement. Cleanliness and sanitation of coffee machines, preparation areas, and the restaurant environment are crucial duties to uphold the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

The position requires operating a cash register proficiently, handling cash transactions accurately while adhering to all cash-handling procedures. Baristas must be physically capable of enduring significant walking and standing for extended periods, frequently lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally moving heavier loads. This physical stamina supports consistent, efficient service throughout shifts that may last over eight hours.

Sodexo values punctuality and reliability; as such, showing up on time for scheduled shifts with regular attendance is essential.
