Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Customer service related work experience
- Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Prior customer service experience
- Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation standards, and inventory control systems
- Ability to operate cash registers and responsibly handle cash
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification as a Starbucks Barista may be required for some locations
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights
- Ability to work varied morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Commitment to providing friendly and efficient service
- Teamwork and adaptability skills to work in a dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service
- Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, considering customer specifications
- Maintains good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
- Educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling
- Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays
- Cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas regularly
- Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures
- Performs significant walking or other means of mobility during shift
- Able to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
- Reaches, bends, stoops, pushes, pulls, and frequently lifts up to 35 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Shows punctuality and attendance for scheduled shifts as required
- Completes other duties assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
