Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • basic food preparation experience preferred

  • knowledge of food safety standards and ability to follow guidelines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all fudge products according to recipe, guidelines, food safety for tasting, display and sale to customers
  • perform all Ginna’s restaurant functions including deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge and other duties as assigned
  • meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests
  • follow all food safety guidelines by state and local ordinances
  • ensure all products are received and stored according to standard operating guidelines
  • train all new associates using kitchen tools, mentor checklists and standard operating guidelines
  • ensure cash control and till management is followed according to Scheels cashier guidelines
  • manage and support side work, daily and detail cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures
  • maintain working knowledge of Café recipes and prepared foods
  • maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas
  • be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration
  • perform repetitive fudge production processes including stirring, pulling, and cutting
  • use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using American money, weight measurements, volume and distance
  • read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • write routine reports and correspondence
  • speak effectively before groups of customers and employees
  • apply basic understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
  • work assigned schedule including varied hours, evening, weekends, and holidays
  • prepare many different types of food, drinks and ingredients
