The company is currently hiring for the position of Barista, a role central to its operations and guest service mission. The Barista at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is responsible for curating memorable coffee and tea experiences for guests every day. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about premium coffee and tea, who enjoy engaging with customers, and who want to be part of a socially responsible and guest service-driven company. As a Barista, you will be supported with thorough training to deepen your expertise and will have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills that facilitate growth within the company—many General Managers began their careers as Baristas. The role offers a flexible and fun work environment where being yourself is encouraged, and where you can cultivate a loyal community of fans in the local area.

Key responsibilities include delivering exceptional guest service, sharing knowledge about coffee and sustainability practices, generating new guests, and contributing to a safe and organized store environment. The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 hourly, reflecting local wage ordinances and experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Legal right to work in the country

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience an advantage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Be a warm host- guide guests through their coffee experience from beginning to end providing exceptional guest service throughout
  • Create coffee moments- share your knowledge, our coffee, and our sustainability practices with guests
  • Be a coffee & tea expert- you bring the passion, we provide the training, and you share it with the guest
  • Generate new guests- many guests shop online these days
  • however, the store is where we meet many of our guests for the first time
  • Care about safety- safe, healthy employees and guests are our number one priority
  • Contribute- take pride in the tidiness of your store, organize stock, innovate new way to do things
  • Take initiative with tasks, ideas and add to the overall success
