Neptune's Fury Coffee Co. is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe located in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Since 2020, we have proudly served the Hampton Roads area with our freshly roasted coffee. Our journey started as a dedicated coffee roasting company, and in September 2022, we expanded by opening our beautiful waterfront cafe and roastery on the first floor of Dominion Tower, a Class A office building. Known for our commitment to quality and passion for coffee, Neptune's Fury Coffee Co. has quickly become a beloved destination for coffee lovers and residents in Norfolk who appreciate specialty brews and excellent customer service.
At Neptune's Fury Coffee Co., we believe in cultivating a warm, welcoming environment for both our customers and team members. We are passionate about specialty coffee, brewing excellence, and delivering an outstanding cafe experience. As we continue to grow, we are looking to bring on individuals who share our enthusiasm for coffee and are eager to develop their skills in a thriving, fast-paced setting.
While we are currently fully staffed and not actively hiring for the barista position, we encourage enthusiastic candidates to submit their applications for future consideration. This is an exciting opportunity for baristas who want to grow their career with a company that values curiosity, motivation, and a collaborative spirit. Our barista role is hourly plus tips and is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy direct interaction with customers. We operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with plans to expand weekend hours soon, making weekend availability preferred.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with potential weekend shifts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred
- Passion for specialty coffee and eagerness to learn
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Taking customer orders
- Making a variety of specialty coffee and tea beverages
- Educating customers on our roasted coffee and various brew methods
- Restocking the bar and grab-and-go areas with products
- Maintaining a clean work space along with general cafe cleaning
- Cross-training on kitchen positions to support team flexibility
- Communicating with clarity and kindness with customers and team members
