Job Description
Mexico Ceaty is an innovative dining concept that breaks the mold by fusing traditional Mexican flavors with modern culinary artistry and exceptional hospitality. Located in the bustling San Antonio River Walk inside the Shops at Rivercenter—the second most visited destination in Texas after The Alamo—Mexico Ceaty offers guests an immersive and vibrant experience that goes far beyond the typical dining outing. The restaurant prides itself on its dedication to premium hospitality standards, impeccable attention to detail, and a commitment to making every visit unforgettable. Mexico Ceaty is a proud member of the renowned Jason Dady Restaurant Group, which has influenced San Antonio's culinary landscape for over two decades with a diverse portfolio of establishments ranging from upscale eateries to casual BBQ spots. Founded by the acclaimed Chef Jason Dady, the group is synonymous with excellence and innovation in the restaurant industry.
The Barista role at Mexico Ceaty is much more than just making coffee drinks; it is about delivering tradition in every cup. This position combines precision, artistry, and genuine hospitality to create lasting impressions for every guest. From expertly preparing classic espresso drinks and drip coffee to mastering signature beverages like Caf de Olla, Mexican hot chocolate, and Carajillos on tap, the barista serves as an ambassador of Mexican coffee culture. The role involves deep knowledge of the full Dulce Aroma menu, which includes not only beverages but also pastries, pairings, and daily specials. Maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of the café counter and pastry display is essential to uphold the restaurant’s elevated presentation standards.
This role demands consistent execution of drinks exactly to specifications to ensure zero remakes and delighted guests. Operating and maintaining espresso equipment safely and efficiently throughout every shift is a vital responsibility. Beyond technical skills, building genuine connections by engaging guests—recommending drinks, explaining traditions, and establishing rapport—is central to creating a memorable experience that guests want to share. Whether restocking supplies or supporting the pastry display, attention to detail and proactive teamwork are keys to smooth operations.
The successful candidate is someone who embodies GWC (Get it, Want it, Capacity to do it) – meaning they understand the role deeply, possess the passion and motivation to excel, and have the ability to deliver outstanding results every shift. Excellence in this role is seen when regular customers feel personally known, drinks are flawlessly crafted on the first try, the café counter remains spotless and inviting, and guests are inspired to share their experience visually via social media before their first sip. Mexico Ceaty offers an energetic, fast-paced environment where every cup carries the story of tradition, craftsmanship, and care.
