The position of Barista at Sodexo offers an on-call part-time opportunity based at the UMASS Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus. This role pays $18.00 per hour and requires someone with open availability, capable of working any shift. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of the customer experience, crafting high-quality, handcrafted beverages like coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and tea, while also engaging customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude. This role goes beyond basic beverage preparation; it is about making a positive impact through everyday actions that create smiles and foster connection. In addition to beverage preparation, the Barista is responsible for operating cash registers, handling various forms of payment, maintaining cleanliness in work and preparation areas, and attending to other duties dictated by client needs. The role requires a team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable individual who fosters a safe and healthy working environment. Although no previous experience is required, it is preferred, and in some locations, Starbucks Barista certification may be necessary.
