Job Duties
- Greet guests and present menus and beverage lists
- create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees
- answer questions about menu items, ingredients, preparation, and make recommendations
- take orders for food and beverage items
- prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including coffee, tea, espresso, handcrafted cocktails, local beer, and wine
- dial in espresso, create latte art, and use various brewing methods
- prepare and serve food items such as pastries and appetizers
- check identification to ensure legal alcohol consumption
- enter orders and modifications into POS system accurately
- observe guests to respond to additional needs
- maintain table appearance by pre-bussing and removing clutter
- prepare and present checks
- remove dishes and glasses and handle dishwashing process
- collect payments and process credit cards
- provide continuous service until guests leave and offer warm farewells
- comply with alcohol awareness procedures
- communicate problems or unusual matters to management
- maintain cooperative working relationships with employees and purveyors
- perform duties timely and effectively according to company policies
