Ziggi's Coffee is a community-focused coffee shop founded by husband and wife duo Brandon and Camrin Knudsen, who envisioned creating a welcoming space where people could come together and feel right at home. The Shift Lead at Ziggi's Coffee plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and outstanding customer service on the floor. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to lead by example. The Shift Lead is tasked with maintaining Ziggi’s high standards of service, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and speed while delivering excellent drink and food quality. This role demands strong initiative to oversee staff, enforce company policies, manage cash register operations, and provide training and ongoing support to the team.
As a Shift Lead, you will be at the forefront of customer interactions, embodying the friendly and enthusiastic spirit that Ziggi’s Coffee is known for. You will take responsibility for delegating daily checklists, managing inventory assistance, and conducting additional cleaning routines to maintain a pristine working environment. The role also involves handling occasional customer complaints in the absence of senior managers, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately. This position offers a flexible schedule including opportunities for full-time or part-time work, with shifts available during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or G.E.D.
- previous experience in customer service or retail preferred
- strong communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- leadership experience or willingness to lead a team
- basic knowledge of cash handling and inventory management
- ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Job Duties
- ensure the Ziggi's standards of service are always in place including exceptional customer service and excellent drink and food quality
- maintain great and consistent communication with staff managers and store owner
- lead by example have strong initiative and adhere to all Ziggi's Coffee policies and procedures
- make sure staff correctly follow all policies and procedures
- ensure registers are always stocked and balance change drawer at the end of each shift
- train new employees and provide continued training support and coaching for existing staff
- address customer complaints in the absence of managers and relay incidents to General and Assistant Managers
