This position is with a franchisee, meaning the franchisee will be your employer and determine specific employment conditions. The role of Barista (Part-Time) in Bolingbrook, IL, offers a competitive wage of $15 per hour plus tips, along with paid training, meal and drink discounts, and an optional 401(k) plan. The work schedule requires open availability, including weekday mornings, making it unsuitable for high school students at this time due to scheduling demands.

As a Barista at Scooter's Coffee, you will play a vital role in daily operations, providing high-quality service to each customer. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing duties, greeting customers, taking orders, and preparing beverages and food items in line with established standards. Ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to food handling procedures is critical to maintaining store standards and customer safety. The role also involves inventory management, including stocking, replenishing supplies, and communicating shortages to ensure consistent product availability.

Customer interaction is at the heart of this role, requiring you to be knowledgeable about products and efficient in service to create an inviting atmosphere. Additional duties include assisting with administrative tasks such as ordering products, organizing stockrooms, coordinating with vendors, and resolving quality or service complaints courteously and effectively. Occasional duties might extend to unloading deliveries and participating in promotional activities like sign waving. Job Duties

  • performing shift opening and closing duties as assigned
  • greeting customers, taking orders, preparing and serving beverages and food items in accordance with established service standards
