Job Requirements
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- Must have visual acuity including clarity at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Must report to work when scheduled and on time
- Must adhere to department and company hygiene and dress standards
- Employment contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction, copying figures, counting and recording
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner in all store encounters
- Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions
- Answer telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
- Review the status and appearance of the food for freshness
- Ensure an adequate food supply is ready and follow production lists
- Anticipate product needs daily
- Prepare and replenish products as necessary
- Check in and put away products and review invoices if needed
- Run department registers and handle payments as applicable
- Remove trash timely
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Order product and supplies as needed
- Price products for customers when necessary
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
