The Barista role at American Dining Creations is vital in delivering exceptional customer service through the preparation and serving of a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea. The Barista is expected to educate guests on the drinks menu, offer personalized recommendations based on customer preferences, and actively engage in up-selling special items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. This position requires a person who is organized, efficient, and communicates well to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. Baristas also handle food items such as sandwiches, muffins, and bagels, ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, operate point-of-sale systems to process payments, and maintain inventory and cleanliness standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior cashier and POS experience
  • previous coffee bar and brewing equipment experience
  • ability to manage multiple orders
  • work in a fast-paced environment
  • previous work experience as a Barista or Server
  • basic math skills and effective communication
  • ability to lift 30lbs, bend, walk, climb stairs, and stand for the scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Follow recipe standards to prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks
  • customize specialty drinks as requested
  • serve food and baked goods including sandwiches, muffins, or bagels
  • adhere to all state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • operate POS to complete orders, accept cash and charge payments
  • keep supplies replenished, restock coolers, and take inventory as directed
  • clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes, designated work, and service areas
  • remain focused on customer satisfaction through providing excellent service to all guests, clients, and team members
  • listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
  • be efficient and organized
  • may be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
