The role offered is that of a Beverage and Food Server, a vital position responsible for greeting guests courteously and taking beverage and food orders in a professional and timely manner. The employee will be expected to prepare and present drinks following standardized recipes, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, and handle all monetary transactions accurately using a computerized point of sale system. Managing inventory stock and rotating products properly will be integral to sustaining daily operations.
Moreover, this role involves actively responding to guest complaints with positivity and tact, negotiating compromises, and implementing effective solutions to maintain a high level of customer service. The server will also be responsible for closing procedures such as securing beverage and food items, depositing cash drops, and balancing the cash bank. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- ability to provide friendly and courteous customer service

Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes
- basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers
- ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
- ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
- ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
- ability to work and stand in a confined space for long periods of time
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders
- make and/or present drinks using standard ingredients/recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
- receive cash from guests and make change
- verify validity of charges and record charges
- ensure vouchers are properly executed
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the coffee bar
- respond to guest complaints in a positive and tactful manner
- negotiate a compromise and implement solution
- lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items
- deposit cash drops
- secure and balance bank and sign out/in keys
- attend mandatory meetings
- perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
- keep work area clean and organized
- complete other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
