As a Brewista, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of 7 Brew’s mission to inspire kindness through revolutionary coffee experiences. Reporting to the stand manager, your primary responsibilities will include preparing delicious drinks with care and precision, efficiently taking orders, and engaging genuinely with customers to enhance their visit. Beyond beverage preparation, Brewistas maintain an organized and clean workspace by stocking supplies and following sanitation standards, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. You’ll be equipped to handle multiple tasks productively, from swiftly navigating the point of sale system to suggesting menu items and making every customer interaction meaningful. Your ability to communicate openly and provide positive, warm body language will help build strong personal connections, encouraging repeat visits and fostering a strong community culture.
This role requires a proactive attitude, with Brewistas staying energetic and ready to serve, even during slower business periods. Being punctual and professionally dressed shows your dedication and respect for the role and the team. The position requires physical stamina, as Brewistas will stand for long periods, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs. Flexibility is also key, with varied shift lengths and availability needed to meet business demands, including weekends, nights, and holidays when required. Job Requirements
- Works a flexible schedule
- Works a minimum of three shifts per week
- Follows company procedure for communicating time off requests
- Regularly works necessary shifts, weekends included, and is available to work holidays, if necessary
Job Qualifications
- Can create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time
- Can work carefully and quickly with hot water and coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
- Can work outside for prolonged periods, regardless of weather conditions
- Can lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Can stand comfortably for hours at a time
- Can climb a ladder and use a stepladder
- Can stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary to stock and clean in the stand
- Can safely walk in between and around cars in the drive-thru line
- Can safely use a utility knife
Job Duties
- Converse with customers to confirm their drink orders and correctly key in orders to the point of sale system
- Collect payments for orders and correctly count back any change to the customer
- Prepare all drinks and premixes
- Always move with urgency on the customer's time
- Stay productive and proactive throughout the entire shift, even when business is slow
- Make personal connections with customers every day through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and open and positive body language
- Know the menu and drink offerings inside and out
- notice if a customer may not be ordering what they truly want and help the customer identify and correctly order their desired drink, offering suggestions and recommendations when appropriate
- Bring their best self to work every day and dress appropriately for their assigned position
- Be familiar with shift change duties, checklists, and weekly chores to stay on task and execute any of them when needed
- Always be clocked in and ready to work at their assigned position when their shift time begins
- Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
