The Barista role at Bloom & Pour is a full-time position, ranging between 25 to 32 hours per week, offering a competitive salary based on experience. This role is integral to ensuring every customer’s visit is memorable by providing exceptional coffee experiences and friendly, efficient service. As a Barista, you will be mastering the art of coffee by preparing a variety of espresso drinks and tea beverages to company standards. You will act as both a skilled craftsman of beverages and a welcoming face that embodies Bloom & Pour’s mission of cultivating community. The position requires working collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

In addition to crafting drinks, the Barista will manage point-of-sale transactions, handle cash and electronic payments accurately, and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the coffee bar and surrounding areas including kitchen and bathrooms. You will also support inventory restocking and assist with light food preparation tasks like assembling sandwiches and pastries. An important element of this role is engaging customers by sharing knowledge about loyalty programs, special offers, and events to strengthen customer relationships and encourage repeat visits. Working together with team members, you will contribute to a positive workplace culture that aligns with Bloom & Pour’s mission to nurture and grow relationships within the community.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a barista or in a similar capacity, accompanied by excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude. Passion for coffee, attention to detail, the ability to multitask efficiently, and strong communication skills are essential. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends is required, along with a willingness to learn and adapt. A food handler's permit or the willingness to obtain one is also expected. Job Duties

prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, following company recipes and standards
ensure high-quality drinks by accurately measuring ingredients, brewing coffee, and preparing tea
greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences
take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
operate coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and other beverage-related machinery efficiently and safely
maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar area, including but not limited to, equipment, tools, seating areas, trash receptacles, kitchen, and bathrooms
handle cash and electronic transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change
restock inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, as needed
assist with light food preparation and presentation, such as assembling sandwiches and pastries
follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food and beverage preparation meets sanitation standards
engage with customers to promote loyalty programs, special offers, and events happening at Bloom & Pour
collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment
provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
