The park's commitment to guest satisfaction involves a comprehensive approach where every interaction is designed to foster a fun, safe, and memorable visit. Employees at Wild Rivers are valued contributors who play a crucial role in executing the park's vision of hospitality excellence. The organization emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude among its staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
The Barista position at Wild Rivers is a seasonal, part-time role classified as hourly non-exempt, featuring a competitive pay rate ranging from $16.90 to $18.00 per hour plus tips. This position involves working flexible schedules including weekdays and weekends, responding to the dynamic needs of park guests in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Bar Lead, Bar Supervisor, or Bar Senior Supervisor, the Barista is responsible for managing the front-of-house daily operations of the food and beverage area specialized in coffee and tea service. Beyond simply preparing beverages, this role demands superior customer service skills to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Baristas at Wild Rivers prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including specialty coffee, tea, and blended drinks, along with pastries. Attention to detail is critical, as employees must handle guest orders accurately and process payments with integrity. Operating barista equipment such as coffee brewers, grinders, and blenders is a daily task, alongside maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work unit. Stocking consumables and adhering strictly to health regulations, particularly related to allergens and responsible beverage service, are essential responsibilities. The Barista also participates in closing duties that include sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, reporting tips, and securing equipment.
This position offers extensive opportunities for interaction with guests and team collaboration to maintain smooth workflow and outstanding overall service. Wild Rivers emphasizes adherence to California health, safety, sanitation, and food handler standards, aligning with Orange County Environmental Health policies. Candidates should be comfortable in a hospitality setting that may include exposure to indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and demands a moderate level of physical activity, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
Joining Wild Rivers as a Barista means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating joyful experiences for families and individuals alike. The company fosters a respectful, inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated and personnel processes are merit-based. Employees receive competitive pay, paid sick leave, hospitality and food safety training, complimentary personal admission, discounted tickets for family and friends, and parkwide discounts. This role is ideal for individuals who are positive, adaptable, and committed to superior guest service, with prior hospitality or barista experience preferred but not required. Overall, the Barista at Wild Rivers plays a vital role in shaping the hospitality and food service landscape within an energetic, community-focused entertainment venue.
