Job Description
Edison House is a premier social club located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, featuring an expansive 30,000 square foot clubhouse that offers an array of upscale amenities. This includes two unique restaurant concepts, four vibrant bars, a state-of-the-art workout facility, exclusive private event spaces, a concert venue, and a stunning rooftop pool. Known for its dedication to fostering community and providing exceptional experiences, Edison House stands out as an innovative and forward-thinking establishment where creativity and hospitality are at the forefront of its service model.
The role of a Barista at Edison House is integral to maintaining the high standards of service that define the club. The position is designed for creative, ambitious, and self-starting individuals who are eager to contribute to a one-of-a-kind project in Salt Lake City. The Barista will not only contribute to daily operations but also play a critical role in creating memorable moments for members, which is central to the club's culture. Members of the Edison House community expect flawless execution in every interaction, and the Barista’s role is essential in meeting and exceeding these expectations.
This position demands a detail-oriented approach, independence, and resourcefulness alongside a strong work ethic. Teamwork is highly valued; the Barista will collaborate closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operation and maintain an immaculate clubhouse environment. Professionalism in appearance and grooming consistent with a fine dining restaurant is required, as is an ongoing interest in hospitality and commitment to service education. Compliance with hygiene and safety standards, including COVID-19 protocols, remains a priority.
Ideal candidates must embody Edison House’s core values and demonstrate qualities such as organization, commitment to quality, excellent communication skills, and a drive for excellence. With a fast-paced atmosphere, the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently without direct supervision is critical. Candidates must have a minimum of two to three years’ experience in hospitality, preferably in upscale or high-end environments, and possess a social, curious disposition with a keen understanding of culture and entertainment development. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to apply, aligning with service requirements in the club.
This full-time role offers a flexible schedule to accommodate team members’ needs, including day shifts, morning shifts, and typical 8-hour work periods. The Barista role is essential not only for crafting exceptional coffee and beverage experiences but also for actively enhancing the social and cultural fabric of the club. Those who join Edison House will find themselves part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovation and excellence in hospitality, with opportunities to grow their skills in an inspiring setting. The clubhouse remains a centerpiece for community connection, and as a Barista, one will contribute meaningfully to this mission, creating unique and treasured experiences for a membership that appreciates top-tier service and atmosphere.
