Job Description

Coach is a renowned global fashion house that was founded in New York in 1941. With a rich heritage rooted in craftsmanship and quality, Coach is known for creating beautiful, durable products that allow individuals to express themselves. The brand is inspired by the vision of Creative Director Stuart Vevers and embraces an inclusive, courageous spirit that reflects its hometown ethos. As part of the Tapestry portfolio, Coach operates as a member of a global house of brands dedicated to innovation, inclusivity, and pushing the limits of what is possible in the fashion industry.

Coach offers a unique and engaging work environment where creativity and customer experience are paramount. The brand’s commitment to quality extends beyond its products to the way it treats its employees and customers alike. Becoming part of the Coach team means joining a company that values authenticity, collaboration, and the drive to deliver exceptional service in every aspect of its business.

The Barista role at Coach is a vital position within the Coach Coffee Shops, where the focus is on preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items while providing exceptional customer service. This is an hourly paid position with additional tipping opportunities, reflective of the role’s importance in shaping a positive and memorable experience for every guest. The Barista is responsible for operating coffee machines, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all beverages meet the highest standards of craftsmanship. Candidates must have knowledge of various coffee types, brewing methods, and customization options to cater to diverse customer preferences.

The successful Barista will deliver warm, authentic guest engagement and possess strong product knowledge of Coach’s menu and brand heritage. The role requires skilled selling techniques, with an aim to meet individual and store sales goals by recommending drinks, food items, and merchandise that enhance the customer experience. Attention to visual standards, operational excellence, and teamwork are crucial components, as the Barista supports floor sets, replenishment, and maintains a clean and organized workspace adhering to proper sanitation and food safety requirements.

In addition to serving handcrafted beverages following recipe standards and custom requests, the Barista works closely with team members to solve problems and ensure seamless service. This collaborative approach fosters a positive work environment where selling strategies and successes are shared and celebrated together. The role demands flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate business needs.

Coach prioritizes the development of its employees, instilling competencies such as courage, creativity, customer focus, dealing with ambiguity, drive for results, interpersonal savvy, and learning agility. These traits are encouraged at all levels of the organization to create a dynamic and empowering workplace. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusive hiring practices without regard to any legally protected basis. Accommodations for disabilities or religious beliefs are provided to ensure accessibility during the application process.

With a base pay range from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, Coach also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health benefits (medical, dental, vision), life and disability insurance, 401(k) savings plan, paid time off for wellness and vacations, employee discounts, and incentive compensation. Employees benefit from a supportive culture that fosters growth, excellence, and a passion for delivering an outstanding retail and hospitality experience. Working as a Barista at Coach Coffee Shops offers a unique opportunity to join a legendary brand with a modern outlook and a commitment to community, creativity, and customer satisfaction.
