Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- proven barista experience
- knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation techniques
- strong customer service skills
- ability to operate POS devices accurately
- understanding of HACCP food safety standards
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- teamwork and collaboration skills
Job Duties
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enter orders accurately into POS device
- accept cash and charge payments
- replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follow HACCP standards
- maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- greet customers courteously and interact to ensure satisfaction
- relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- serve customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately
- advocate selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting customers in buying decisions
- ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly per standard
- perform other duties as assigned
