Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years prior experience as a barista in fine dining
  • Knowledge of classic coffee and craft cocktail preparation
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, reach, and walk for 8 to 10 hours daily
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Professional appearance
  • Willingness to take direction and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge including coffee, craft cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
  • Well-developed knowledge of classic coffee and cocktail recipes
  • 3-5 years experience as a barista in fine dining with classic coffee and craft cocktails
  • Genuine interest and understanding of food, coffee, and wine
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Capacity to serve, host, bus, run food, cook, and wash dishes if needed
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written English communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Responsible for opening and closing the bar
  • Being consistent and following all procedures alongside the service team
  • Take drink orders and answer guest questions
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer educated suggestions
  • Handle accurate cash handling and tip reporting
  • Ensure compliance with beverage alcohol service laws
  • Assist with inventory management as required
  • Control inventory for accurate pours and stock levels
  • Execute beverage changes with proper communication
  • Follow house recipes with accuracy and consistency
  • Work various shifts including days and nights
  • Take beverage orders from staff or patrons
  • Mix ingredients for drinks
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Process customer bills and payments
  • Enforce rules and regulations
  • Clean food service areas
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Stock serving stations with food and supplies
