The Barista role at Sonesta, specifically at PJ's Coffee located within the Royal Sonesta Houston, is a vital position that blends customer service with quality beverage and food preparation. This position is responsible for preparing and serving hot or cold beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, and other specialty beverages. Additionally, the Barista takes orders, serves baked goods and sandwiches, and provides guests with detailed descriptions and recommendations of menu items to enhance their in-store experience. The role also involves managing inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies and retail products as required to maintain store readiness and customer satisfaction.

This full-time position requires a Barista who is attentive, friendly, and efficient, capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year experience as a cashier or in customer service and must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Mandatory certifications include a Food Handler Certificate and a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) permit. The Barista will demonstrate the ability to lift moderate weights, follow safety and emergency procedures, and perform repetitive tasks involving fine motor skills. Effective communication in English is necessary to interact with guests, guide them throughout the hotel facilities, and ensure their satisfaction.

Job Requirements
